TERMS OF SERVICE

1. Introduction

Welcome to Voltz Wallet. By using our services, you agree to the following terms of use.

2. Data Protection and Privacy

Voltz stores the minimum amount of customer data possible. Under no circumstances (except for item 6) will the data be used to harm users or provided for compliance. It is important to note that no custodial wallet solution on the Lightning Network can offer complete privacy to the user, so by using Voltz's services, the user agrees to this.

3. Use of Voltz Wallet

The user is entirely responsible for actions taken when using Voltz's services. By using Voltz, the user automatically acknowledges the following items:

3.1 Creation and Management of Wallets

Users can create and manage their Lightning wallets through Voltz Wallet at no cost. Credentials are chosen by the user. It is the user's responsibility to back up and maintain their login and password and especially their User ID. Failure to back up the User ID can lead to permanent loss of funds.

3.2 Wallet Recovery

In case of loss or forgetting credentials, the user should seek support through Voltz's main website. The User ID must be provided to support for wallet recovery. It will ONLY be possible to restore the wallet for the user if they have the User ID; in no other situation will this be possible.

4. eCash

Voltz has an eCash mint, using the Nutshell implementation. eCash provides the privacy that custodial Lightning Network cannot offer. The protocol uses blind signatures to offer such privacy. To access this service, it is necessary to use third-party wallets to transact with Voltz's mint. eCash is collateralized 1:1 in bitcoin. eCash is issued and burned. Voltz Mint does not perform fractional reserve of funds.

4.1 Custody of Funds

eCash is also a custodial option but offers total privacy. The eCash notes are issued and validated by the mint but are stored on the client's side in their respective wallet. Voltz disclaims responsibility for the user's eCash funds.

4.2 Access to Mint
To access Voltz Mint and issue your eCash notes, you must choose an eCash wallet and add the mint URL: https://mint.lnvoltz.com. We are not responsible for the use of malicious wallets.

5. Security

5.1 Security Measures

Never share your credentials and especially your User ID. Beware of malicious websites. Use strong passwords. Always check if the URL address is the official Voltz site. Voltz has two domains to access the wallet: lnvoltz.com and wallet.lnvoltz.com.

5.2 User Responsibility

It is the user's total responsibility to store and maintain their credentials, User ID, eCash funds, transactions, and other security measures.

6. Limitations of Liability

Voltz Wallet is not responsible for any losses or damages arising from the misuse of our service. Using Voltz Wallet to commit crimes that affect others' private property or maliciously using Voltz Wallet may result in account cancellation and permanent loss of funds. Transactions on the Lightning Network are irrevocable, and once confirmed, they cannot be undone; Voltz is not responsible for mistakenly made payments, and there is no reimbursement.

7. Changes to the Terms of Service

We reserve the right to modify these terms of service at any time. Changes will take effect as soon as they are published on our website. We recommend that users periodically review the terms of use to stay informed of any changes.

8. About Voltz

Voltz Wallet is a non-KYC custodial wallet option for the Lightning Network. It offers numerous extensions in its main wallet, as well as swap services, betting, eCash, and others. Voltz is not under any jurisdiction; we value the freedom to transact when, how much, and where you want, as long as it does not infringe on others' private property (see item 6).
